Ways to Give to the PRCC

When you give to the Puerto Rican Cultural Center, you join with many others in supporting a vision of intentional community building. Through our programs, PRCC donors support our work, enabling us to depend less on other monies. Annual contributions range from over $10,000 to $50. Each gift is important and helps to further our programs and community building based on self-sufficiency, self-determination and self-actualization. You can make a difference!

CATEGORIES:

General gifts support general operating expenses. Unrestricted gifts are of the most use, since they enable the PRCC to react quickly to emergencies of any kind, from fiscal to programmatic. Gifts can be made on a one-time, monthly, or end-of-year basis. We will work with you to maximize the tax-benefits your gift entitles you to.

Specific program supportive gifts. On the other hand, if you have an idea about supporting one or more programs, please get in touch with the Secretary of our Board, Alejandro Luis Molina. He will work with you to understand the specific program benefits of targetted giving. Or if you would like to make a large one-time donation, we are in the process of working up a comprehensive "wish list" of program needs, and you can opt to give toward a specific "wish".

Write a Check. Be sure to check with your company's Human Resources department to find out if your employer matches charitable contributions to 501(c)(3) organizations.

Become a Sustainer and have your contribution deducted automatically from your credit card every quarter or month.

Honor someone with a gift in their name-also a means of remembering and continuing an individual's commitment to social change.

Co-Host a House Party: Help us spread the word by introducing your friends, family, and colleagues to the Puerto Rican Cultural Center.

Transfer stock or real property-avoid capital gains tax — while receiving a tax deduction.

Make a program grant. Your gift can support the PRCC program of your choice.

Make a bequest by leaving part of your estate to the PRCC or designate the PRCC as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy.

Establish a Charitable Trust. Certain trust options may reduce your taxes now or in the future, while benefiting Crossroads Fund.
